Calder Ltd is a specialist designer and manufacturer of bespoke high pressure pumping equipment based in Worcester. We design, manufacture, install and service cost-effective and environmentally responsible pumping solutions for safe and hazardous areas. Our experience in building robust pump packages for the toughest onshore and offshore process and waterjet pumping applications is significant.
We supply to a wide range of industries including automotive (BMW, Honda, Toyota, and JLR) and offshore energy (BP, Total, Shell, Equinor and Maersk). Our success is founded on uncompromising quality and the incorporation of the very latest technologies into packaged solutions to operate reliably in the most demanding environments. Typical project values range from £50,000 to £5 million.
As Engineering Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing components for our high-pressure pump packages. The preferred candidate will have a sound engineering knowledge and be familiar with high specification procurement. Previous experience of the energy industry and the requirements of hazardous areas would be useful, but not essential.
You will have solid purchasing experience, be commercially competent and be able to demonstrate a proven successful track record in procurement in a specialist bespoke capital build engineering environment.
The position is Worcester based, permanent, and with the benefits of pension scheme, life assurance and income protection.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
