DO NOT Operate the Machine Without Adblue
DO NOT operate the machine without Adblue as this will cause the engine to go into Limp Mode (reduced power). This can only be rectified by a Calder or Cummins diesel engine mechanic who will reset the engine’s ECM and service the Adblue system.
DO NOT put Adblue in the fuel tank. It is not a fuel additive and may damage the engine. The MultiJet unit has a dedicated Adblue tank – see pictures below.
DO NOT use contaminated Adblue. Ensure the Adblue is from a known, clean source.
Adblue Top-up - When and How Much
Ensure there is always Adblue in the Adblue tank.
You may need to replenish the Adblue every 4 operating hours. This is because Adblue consumption is determined by many factors including engine load, engine size and temperature. Adblue usage is, therefore, difficult to predict. Just ensure it never runs out and check frequently.
Tier IV Engines - Where and How to Refill the Adblue Tank
On Tier IV units, the Adblue tank is located at the front and to the right of the yellow, high pressure pump.
Remove the blue cap and pour in the Adblue to the fill level. Replace the blue cap.
Stage V Engines - Where and How to Refill the Adblue Tank
On units with Stage V engines, the Adblue tank is located on the same side as the control panel, to the left of the water tank.
Remove the blue cap and pour in the Adblue to the fill level. Replace the blue cap.
