High pressure pump unit for subsea tool applications
20th Dec 2019
Calder finish the year on a high with an order for one of our very successful MultiJet high pressure pump units for subsea services.
At the heart of the unit will be a Hammelmann HDP 302 quintuplex plunger pump providing 120 lpm of seawater to subsea tooling at a pressure of 1,200 bar. The pump will be driven by the latest Tier V engine technology.
This rig safe unit will be mounted in a sound-attenuated, 20-ft DNV 2.7-1 container. The container will be painted with a 2-pack epoxy, 4-coat finish suitable for a marine environment. Inside will be a fire detection system, permanent fire extinguishing system (foam), heat-sensing tube for automatic release of the fire extinguishing system, and a portable fire extinguisher (foam). On the outside will be a button for manual release of the fire extinguishing system.
The unit will feature shut-down capability (permissive and feedback signals) from the main control room on the rig and an internal camera surveillance system.
Whatever your offshore, high pressure pumping requirements, our Multijet range will provide the solution. Our standard range includes both electric and diesel-powered units, compact and lightweight units, and compliance with industry standards such as ATEX, NORSOK, and IECex. Additionally, we have vast experience in the bespoke design and build of units to meet the varying applications and location-specific issues of our customers.
