ONS 2024 in Stavanger, Norway
The recent exhibition in Stavanger was a significant success for Calder. It was a pleasure to meet with our existing customers and to forge relationships with many new contacts.
The event featured over 1,000 stands, with many of those exhibitors showcasing their products and ideas for the energy transition. This year, the interest in this sector far surpassed that of ONS 2022, with a significant increase in visitors discussing their pumping requirements for renewable and low carbon applications. Our stand attracted considerable attention, particularly for our solutions in green fuel injection for the shipping industry, and CO2 injection.
Electrification of offshore platforms and vessels was a key focus for many attendees. Our pump systems, which are primarily electric powered, continue to serve the Process and Well Service markets effectively. Additionally, our Fabric Maintenance range, including the newly introduced MultEjet, garnered strong interest. The MultEjet is an electric-motor-powered, high-pressure water jetting machine which features an integrated VSD. This integration of the latest motor drive technology enables pump speed control while maintaining the same footprint as traditional diesel units.
There was a buzz in the air around Stavanger for the exhibition week, particularly around the harbour. This culminated with a spectacular concert – free entry – in the harbour on the Wednesday evening. The concert featured this year’s BlimE artist, Ane Norum Kvistad. She was followed by Norwegian pop artist, Dagny and local band Vettche.
The 71,812 people who visited the ONS exhibition this year helped to make it such a success. We look forward to ONS 2026!

Our Offshore Northern Seas History
Since 2008, we have enjoyed exhibiting at the Offshore Northern Seas exhibition. Indeed, it is an excellent platform to showcase our pumping and fluid transfer technology. We always meet plenty of new people and, equally important, the familiar faces of customers and suppliers.
Stavanger, Norway
Finally, what a beautiful city. Stavanger boasts a stunning harbour, parks and lakes, and a large number of historic buildings. As one of the oldest cities in Norway, Stavanger has several museums, the oldest being the Missjonmuseet which opened as far back as 1864. Whereas, a more recent addition is the Norwegian Petroleum Museum which opened in 1998.
And, wherever you are in Stavanger, it is not far to the stunning views of the countryside or the rugged coastline of the North Sea.
