Freelance – tube cleaning machine
The Freelance flexible lancing system allows safe, in situ tube bundle cleaning in restricted spaces. Developed over 25 years ago, these machines significantly improve operator safety, are easy to set up, and deliver efficient cleaning rates.
We offer both single and twin-lance options with maximum working pressures of 1,000, 1,500, and 2,500 bar. Single-lance units have a maximum working length of 19 metres while twin-lance units are 9 metres. All Freelance units are pneumatically powered, lightweight and portable.

Safety
- The operator does not handle the high pressure hose.
- The high pressure hose is automatically wound onto a covered hose drum.

- Cleans at high pressure during both extension and retraction.
- Adjustable lance extension allows ‘end-to-end’ tube cleaning.
- Controlled extension and retraction ensures consistent cleaning.
- Can be positioned and set up by a single operator in minutes.
- Deployment settings prevent nozzle fully leaving tube on extension.
The Freelance system is well proven over the last 25 years. It is ideal for in situ tube cleaning and is easily converted to be used with a simple X/Y indexing frame. For the bigger jobs, we offer rigid, multi-lance machines. These allow the operator to clean tube bundles internally or externally from the comfort of the cab.
High Pressure Water
To support the Freelance machines, we offer standard water jetting pump units covering a range of pressures and flows and powered by electric or diesel. We also have 40 years’ experience in the design of bespoke pump units for specific locations and applications.
Our electric pump units are generally skid mounted. They are ideal for operation inside industrial facilities. No emissions, quieter than their diesel counterparts, and generally more compact. Control and monitoring options include variable speed drive (VSD) control, local or remote control, data acquisition and logging, and system performance and health monitoring.
Our range of diesel-powered pump units are Stage 5 emissions compliant. A popular choice is our road-going trailer unit which we have in continual build to offer short lead times.
Personal Protective Equipment
We are the exclusive UK agent for TST high pressure protective workwear and safety clothing. The TST range has been developed to offer excellent protection and comfort to the operator. The Waterjet Protection range covers pressures up to 3,000 bar and the ProOperator range offers high pressure cleaning protection up to 500 bar.
