Two large, state-of-the-art, acoustically attenuated test facilities give Calder the ability to conduct comprehensive pump testing prior to product despatch. We supply pump packages complete with a full control system or for integration into an existing drive/control system. In either case, the package will undergo extensive performance, noise and vibration testing.

Project Case Study
Check out this video case study following Dan, a Calder engineer, through a project to design, build, and test a pump skid for an offshore platform. The pump unit replaced an existing, less powerful machine but was, however, limited to the existing footprint. Furthermore, the unit needed to be modular in order to be fed through the platform walkways to its operating location. The pump testing requirements were significant and Dan discusses the test equipment used in detail.
Remote Factory Acceptance Test
Our customers are always welcome to witness the F.A.T. testing of their pump units. However, given the cost and time implications of getting here, we have a remote F.A.T. viewing capability.
We implement the remote inspection and testing via Microsoft Teams. Firstly, a meeting is set up by the local test team who then invite remote inspection or test team members to join. We provide local video streams through two mounted cameras and/or mobile video. These are then shared through the dedicated test area computer to the rest of the team members. Videos can be set to scroll from one to another at a pre-set speed or are changed at the request of any team member.
