Engineering Project Manager ~ Circa £45k.
Permanent position with benefits of pension scheme and life assurance
As Project Manager reporting to the Engineering Director, you will take total project responsibility for managing the design, technical specification, liaison with the client, documentation, overseeing the build, FAT and organising installation and commissioning.
Experience with project certification and associated documentation is essential. Detailed design will usually be done by others, but a working knowledge of 3D CAD (Solid Edge or Solid Works) would be useful.
Experience of process industry and hazardous area working is essential.
The preferred candidate will have experience of diesel engines and/or electric motor driven equipment in power ranges from 30kW to 2000 kW. You will also have a good knowledge of hydraulics & electro mechanical control systems.
Previous experience in the European Oil & Gas industry would be an asset.
Starting salary will be dependant on your experience which must be supported by recognised academic qualifications.

Project Engineer and Design Engineer:-
Checklist for candidates
• Need a sound mechanical engineering background
• Have worked on the design of skid mounted equipment and enclosures for offshore use
• Have experience of diesel (and electric a bonus) driven rotating equipment
• Have experience of the offshore and international oil and gas industry
• Have experience of high (and ultra high) pressure water pumps, pumping and pipework (plunger type pumps)
• Be used to working with highly specified design projects
• Be proficient with 3D CAD (preferably Solidedge or Solidworks)
Project Engineer ~ £34k plus.

Your task will be to ensure timely, safe and cost effective design and implementation of projects. This will include client and supplier liaison, resource planning and SDRL Management in conjunction with others.
You will support the Engineering Project Manager and/or the Engineering Director with project planning, system design, testing and the associated documentation.
You will need a Mechanical Engineering background allied with project management skills and experience of working on manufacturing projects which incorporate heavy equipment. Technical knowledge of pumping systems and/or “package-build” equipment using motors and diesel engines will also be a requirement.
You should also be able to demonstrate draughting experience and competence using 3D CAD (Solid Edge or Solid Works).

Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for detailed equipment design & specification.
You should have knowledge and experience of structural and capital equipment diesel driven and electric driven system design. Experience of Quality Systems & safe design practice is also required. You must be proficient in using Solid Edge or Solid Works 3D.
Experience in the design of hazardous area equipment would be a distinct advantage.

O, G & P Analyst (Industry Research and Sales Support) ~ £24k - £30k
Permanent position with benefits of pension scheme and life assurance.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, Process Equipment you will be supporting the sales team by researching and tracking projects which may incorporate the Calder range of products within the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical (O, G & P) industry.
You will use a combination of research techniques via the internet, trade subscriptions, press releases & publications. Your role will be to support our international sales team by gathering & collating industry wide intelligence on new & current projects and developments within the O, G & P market.
Your role will involve:
• Tracking major O, G & P companies and identifying their planned project developments, expansions and upgrades
• Monitoring activities of Global EPC companies tracking, recording and advising the sales team of the various stages of these O,G & P projects
• Reviewing, prioritising and analysing the data and information which you gather and using it to produce quantitative and qualitative in-depth reviews and updates
• Supporting the sales team by identifying appropriate industry contacts, prospects and competitors
Ideally you will need to be:
• Methodical in tracking and recording numerous industry projects and their various stages of progress
• Organised in your approach to collating research findings and presenting it to the Sales team in a timely and succinct manner
• Comfortable spending many hours undertaking research relating to the oil, gas and petrochemical industry
• Competent with web based research, the MS Office suite, database, and analysis tools.
And you will need to demonstrate:
• Excellent analytical skills
• First class communication skills coupled with the ability to present your findings to colleagues
• Excellent organisation and planning skills and the ability to manage your own workload when working independently
• The ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to make a real contribution
• Initiative
Although not essential it would be an advantage if you were familiar with a project based capital sales environment, the oil and gas industry and have a background in an engineering discipline. A degree in a relevant and associated subject would also be an advantage. So, if you have previous experience of similar sales supporting role or of market research and intelligence or if you have an analytical mind and enjoy market research we would very much like to hear from you.
