Move to new manufacturing facility to meet growing international demand for the Calder range of high pressure pumping equipment.
For 30 years the view from my office window at Calder has not changed, other than seasonal variation, the red earth of ‘Gregory’s Bank’ towering above our factory, eliminating much of the sky. I would not disagree that the time for a move is long overdue!
Whilst moving to an island paradise with golden sands and gently waving palm trees had crossed my mind, we have chosen instead to remain in the historical city of Worcester (of Worcestershire Sauce fame) by moving a couple of miles up the road to Worcester’s premier industrial park, where the view from my office window will improve immensely.
Our new facility, ½ mile from the M5 Motorway J6, will provide us with the ideal space we need to cater for the increasing international demand for our high pressure pumping equipment. All of our current and highly skilled team is moving to the new facility, ensuring that we maintain the high standards of quality and service our customers have come to expect of Calder. The 3,300m² of manufacturing and assembly space will incorporate; 7 large assembly bays, a 20m x 15m acoustically attenuated test bay capable of testing our full range of equipment up to 2,000 kW power; a special ‘clean room’ for the assembly of our control systems; a service facility; and spare parts storage. The two floors of spacious, light, open-plan office space will accommodate our project engineering & design teams, QA & HSE expertise, project documentation, procurement, training and meeting rooms, accounts and last but not least, proposals and sales teams. If you are passing Worcester, we are easy to find, and would welcome your visit, when we will introduce you to our fantastic team who will gladly show you where the finest quality high pressure pump packages are designed, engineered and tested with pride.
